A New Selichot Experience For Teens and Adults:
Selichot is a special service in the days leading up to Rosh Hashanah that prepares us for the Yamim Nora’im (Days of Awe) by introducing the musical and spiritual themes of the High Holy Days.
This year, Congregation Shir Shalom and Temple B’nai Chaim are excited to offer a new opportunity for teens and adults of both congregations.
On September 21st, each synagogue will be offering unique programming for a specific demographic groups:
Adults from both congregations are invited to Congregation Shir Shalom (46 Peaceable St, Ridgefield, CT 06877) from 7:30-9:15pm for a Selichot study session, dessert reception, and service.
Teens from both communities are invited to Temple B’nai Chaim (82 Portland Ave, Wilton, CT 06897) from 7:15-9:30pm for an abridged service and evening of activities.
Both experiences will help their participants feel ready for the High Holy Days. We hope that you’ll join us for this new approach to Selichot!
